Sadly, the waiting list for Toronto is over a decade.

The Auditor Generals Report recently released tells me we need accountability and answers for the housing crisis we have in Ontario, and the country, especially when the Feds want to let another 1.5 million in the country by 2025. We must house those already here. This country has homeless Veteran’s and families.

If you have a housing crisis in your municipality, province or country, I’d like to hear about it. Please comment.

Maybe you know of a refugee camp close to you, or know of a tent city in your community or surrounding area. Please comment.

Thanks.

Please think twice before you raise a hand to a kid. There’s better, more positive ways!

While I was sitting in my car this morning writing a post I published earlier this morning I witnessed an assault on a young kid coming out of a house across the street from a parking lot where I was writing. I believe it was a girl. The front door opened as she exited with a back pack on, perhaps 10 feet away from the front door, an older man came out, running up behind her, aggressively grabbing her by the back of the neck, forcibly turning her around, holding her neck he continued to get her back into the home. Before he could close the front door, I witnessed him let go of her, smacking her in the back of the head three times. I heard her yell, then, the door slammed shut.

I started crying in my car, contemplating calling the police. How will that young girl be able to trust that person again, especially for comfort, father or not! I’ve no idea who that man was to the young girl I witnessed getting assaulted?

Parts of society are ugly! To many people hurting! For someone to assault a kid, hitting a child in the head can cause injury to the brain.

When I got home, an hour later my daughter knew I had been crying . I was crying for I felt the girls pain. And, I didn’t want to get involved. I can’t take on all the worlds issues. As a child myself, my mother laid a few beatings on me! I’m confident the entire 12th floor heard my screams and cries. No one got involved. She once dragged me down a hall way by the head of the hair, smashed my head against a wall and would put me up against the wall, grabbing me by the throat. I was 9 years old. I never trusted my safety, or, well being with her. I’m still trying to heal from the trauma I experienced.

After disclosing to my daughter what I witnessed and my fear of getting involved, my daughter gave me a hug. I broke down as she said to me “mum, you need to call the police and report it. You could be the only one to save her, or help her” I grabbed my cell phone, called the police, asking if they could do a wellness check in the girl. I’ll never know if the police followed up with what I reported, nor will I know if the young girl is okay? What I do know, some male figure brought out my own unhealed past!

I don’t believe in hitting children! If we have any sort of disagreement with a child or feel the need to correct a child, get down to the child’s level, and communicate with the child, or teenager. I parented the opposite way I was raised, raising my kids in a loving, caring way, opening the door to a happy, healthy relationship with my kids, now young adults, through communication.

I hope that young girl is okay!

Ministry of Attorney General Office can’t keep up.

The Ministry and Office of the Attorney General oversees the 13 adjudicative tribunals.

Sadly, landlord’s are taking a financial beating, putting a owner of his rental property on the street, forcing him to sleep in his car because waiting list to hear cases before the Landlord and Tenant Tribunal are taking far to long. What’s the Office of the Attorney General doing to fix the problem?

People can’t afford to pay their rent, having to make decisions to put food on the table, make insurance payments on their cars to get back and forth to work and put gas in their cars, while the landlord must still make his mortgage payments and pay his property taxes.

Many people facing eviction for whatever reason, can’t afford to look for another place because the cost of rentals has skyrocket, with bidding wars for rentals taking place.

Welcome to Canada, where the Feds want to open immigration to allow another 1.5 million people by 2025. Canada doesn’t have enough housing as it is.

Ottawa reveals plan to welcome 500,000 immigrants per year by 2025 | The Star

The federal government is planning a massive increase in the number of immigrants entering Canada per year, with a target of 500,000 by 2025.

Canada can’t house their own and now the Feds want to bring in 500,000 people a year due to a shortage of workers. Where do the Feds plan on housing them? Family shelters, youth shelters, men’s hostels across the country are bursting at the seams. Tent cities are popping up in every major city. The leadership of this country and the 1% are greatly failing the people!
